Palliative Care Volunteer Education Program
​
Palliative Care Volunteers are an integral part of the palliative care team and provide support to dying individuals and their families in the client’s home, hospital or care facility.
​
Presently there is an increased need for new volunteers in the Westman area. This training session is for volunteers interested in supporting Palliative Care in Westman and surrounding areas. Training dates for additional locations will be announced soon.

A Home for Hospice
50/50 Raffle Winner

We would like to extend our congratulations to Kent Sorensen, the winner of our Home for Hospice 50/50 raffle, with a prize of $3,917.50.
Thank you to everyone who participated by purchasing tickets in support of the Home for Hospice.
The winning ticket was sold at Canadian Tire, and we appreciate their cooperation in allowing us to sell tickets at their store.

Westman Hospice recognized in member statement at the Manitoba Legislature

We are pleased to share that on May 13, 2025, Hospice building committee members Linda Noto and Rob Lavin were joined in the Manitoba Legislature by Daniel Nowoselski with the Canadian Cancer Society as Glen Simard, MLA for Brandon East and Minister of Rural and Northern Affairs Manitoba, made a member statement in support of Westman Hospice.
